Good Friday Morning & Daily Health Report - March 19

We've come to the end of the week? Did you work or is your business closed? Do you have plans you can do over the weekend? Or are you stuck at home? What have you done to fill the void where work used to be? I made it to the pool one day this week before they closed. Instead, I'm walking around the complex. We'll see if that's an option today. Currently, it's snowing. I hope you can see the snowflakes in the picture. It's sticking to the grass but not the roads. We're not supposed to get an inch, so it probably won't look like more than what you see in the picture, taken just before 7 AM. I've been awake since 2 AM but didn't get out of bed until twenty after. I watched the weather, did my Bible study and started work on Vendetta. I also had breakfast, a little different as I'm doing my best not to add sodium to my diet today. I have one last serving of corned beef and then that will be finished. That brings me to yesterday's food and exercise totals. Breakfast - Paleo Pancakes, Unsweetened Applesauce, 1 Banana other than the one used in the pancakes. Calories: 490 Sugar: 34 Carbs: 59.9 Protein: 15.7 Sodium: 252 Fat: 22.8 Snack - Seedless Green Grapes Calories: 34 Sugar: 7.6 Carbs: 8.9 Protein: .4 Sodium: 1 Fat: .1 Lunch - Potato Salad Calories: 400 Sugar: 4.775 Carbs: 43.425 Protein: 9.475 Sodium: 488.05 Fat: 21.975 Snack - Grain-Free Chocolate Cookie Bites Calories: 120 Sugar: 7 Carbs: 13 Protein: 3 Sodium: 70 Fat: 7 Supper - Corned Beef Calories: 358 Sugar: 9.95 Carbs: 42.4 Protein: 17.2 Sodium: 1270.1 Fat: 14.1 Total Stats: Calories: 1402 Sugar: 63.325 Carbs: 167.625 Protein: 45.775 Sodium: 2081.15 Fat: 65.975 Calories burned: Steps - 6420/2.43 Mile - 380 Arm Curls - 5-pound barbells - 15 Minutes - 89 Total calories burned - 469 Total calories - 933 After walking through the complex yesterday in the rain, which wasn't bad when I started out, my hip started hurting to the extreme and I could barely walk when I stood up from the computer. It's still painful this morning, but not as bad as yesterday. I don't know how much walking I'll get done today, but I will work at it. I didn't do anything to cause this pain. I can only assume someone hurt their hip and I'm feeling the empathy pain because of it. That's happened before when people have been hurt in various places on their bodies. Once it was the heel of their foot. I couldn't walk for at least a week. I found out my sister-in-law broke her heel. So if any of you has a bad left hip, I'm literally feeling your pain. My cane came in handy last night and I'm considering it this morning, but haven't used it yet. Okay, that's my report. How did you do with food and exercise yesterday? Thanks for reading. The image is the snow this morning. The white against the tree trunk is snowflakes.

We are retired and stuck at home, I am surprised that your pool is still open, even the parks have been closed here.

@just4him I am fine at home, I take care of the house and of the garden. I hope we will be allowed to go grocery shopping without having to ask for home delivery, I like to choose what I buy.

It's not open. It closed on Wednesday. Just about everything is closed here. Being retired is good. Being stuck at home, not so much.

@LadyDuck I think it's coming to that. It's good you're fine at home and have your garden to care for.

Yikes! My older SIL had both hips replaced and walks every day and rides her bike daily, too. It was freeing for her.

@just4him Your knees may be the cause of your hip problems, too.

That's great she had them replaced and it freed her so she could do so much more. I'll be very happy when this pain is gone. I hope I find out who has hip trouble. Right now the only thing I need to be replaced is my knees.

@DianneN Not like what's happening now. I'm going to stick with empathy pain. I've only had this kind of pain once before, and I was 52 pounds heavier than I am now. It didn't last more than a day.

Sorry to hear about your hip. I thought the snowy weather had finished there. Is this a bit unseasonal?

No, we usually have spring snow until the middle of April. Snow shovels aren't put away until the middle of May. We've had a stray snow storm then too. We had our biggest blizzard in April two years ago.

It is still quite cold in your place! You need to be careful when walking. Yet you are doing great on your calorie count and tracking. Here work from home has started for us. I have had done it before, but only a few times, and not for a longer period. Working remotely with many people has its own challenges. Yet when at home, our commuting and some other things' time is saved. At times, being within our homes can be depressing. Yet there are ways to be busy and be positive.

It's not bad. There's no ice anymore, so that's a good thing. Thank you. There is always a positive side to every situation. Being isolated is a challenge. It's good to keep busy.

Yes, but it won't be much. Less than an inch. I just looked and it stopped snowing.

I agree. It's all gone now and from the forecast, won't be back now until fall. Though I could always hope for a good spring blizzard like we got a couple of years ago.

My weight went way up. I think it was the corned beef and all the sodium in the last four days. Now, that it's gone, hopefully, I will get back to where I was.

I had less sodium in my diet yesterday. I had Pechay or the Chinese Cabbage sauteed in onion with a little soy sauce for dinner. I hope your hip pain goes away soon.
