Contagion ~ The Movie

Last night I was trying to get away from watching the gloom and doom news about COVID-19. Flipping through Netflix, I found the movie “Contagion” which was listed on Netflix as the 2nd most popular in Canada right now. So I watched it and was glad I did.
It was very informative and I heard lots of the terms used today like “social distancing” This 2011 movie starred Matt Damon, Kate Winslet and Jude Law. It follows the death of a woman who just returned from a trip and her young son. This led to the disovery of a deadly virus as the CDC struggled to find a cure in the face of worldwide panic.
If you haven't seen Contagion yet, It is an eye opening and realistic account of how quickly deadly viruses can spread.

I've seen this movie before and watched it during this lock down.
Very eerie how some of the events in the movie match up to what happened with CoViD-19.

I have not seen it. But it's catching headlines and making news on all social media. Seems like it has a lot of similarity with the current situation. I read that it didn't do so well when it was released back then but is the most watched movie on Netflix after the virus outbreak.

I liked the movie with Matt and Kate. But hope its not to much of a downer to say it is like most movies, things can be fictional. In reality I wonder what the cbc is really like?

These movies can be depressing at times like these but I did learn a lot.
