Quarantine

Starting this Sunday at 8pm we can’t leave our homes unless it’s to the pharmacy etc. I guess things are getting real. Tomorrow I am going to buy a bunch of canned food just in case. Foods expire quickly and we don’t know how long this will be for.
How are you things on your end?

I've been wondering how you've been doing. Every time I read about how bad it is there in NYC with the virus, I think of you. But I saw that you posted stuff on Instagram, so I at least knew you were still alive.
Are you doing okay? Staying safe?

@Ladanger I am glad to hear you are safe Christina! I didn't realize you were living in the epicenter of the virus breakout in NYC. Now that makes me even more worried about you! Please, please, please be safe! I need you to stay alive for when I come meet you someday!

The whole of Luzon ( one of the 3 main island groups in the Philippines) is already under " enhanced quarantine "for almost a week now, it's just a glorified name for lockdown
that includes us since I'm from Metro Manila

@Ladanger it's alright so far, I'm a self confessed practical prepper lol so more or less I already have supplies and preparations even before the pandemic.

I want to get some canned food. But there are things that cannot be stocked up like milk or things that go bad quickly. Still have to go to the store.

@Ladanger My local Russian grocery store now has a limit on eggs. Can only get two cartons per customer.

So far panic buying has not picked up. Though few started to stock up. But our government has assured that the essential goods are enough and we don't need to panic buy.

@Ladanger Yes. Essential items stores like grocery and medical stores will be open in lockdown also. So no need to panic buy.
