Social Distancing with Our Love Ones is Weird

Yes, it is. I have experienced that this evening.
My son delivered the milk, peanuts, dishwashing detergent and others after he went grocery shopping for himself and for us. I went down the stairs to get the goods. What I saw? The bag of goods was on the stairs and he was almost 2 meters away from me.
Lol! I was about to hug him as always when he comes to us but he said "halt!" So strange that we just talked far from each other. I don't like "social distancing" with my son but we have to.
Don't you find it strange, too? Well, it is the only way to keep safe in this time of calamity. At least I can still see him at a distance and talk to him on the phone.
Keep safe Mylotters. Take precautions for your safety. Thanks for reading.

It is only for the short term, in order to have better life in the long term and then we will be able to shake hands, hug and kiss who we want.

@thelme55 This short term can mean a few months, too. But still, it is still better than having problems.

Yeah. We are doing much of the same. We were going to make reuben sandwiches last weekend but cancelled because my niece was having her baby. This weekend we are cancelling due to the 'shelter in place' order imposed. Oh well. It is what it is.

Same thing here. My grandchildren wanted to see us so my daughter drove to our house they sat outside waving to us and we waved back. It is so painful not to be able to give them a hug. Hopefully when this is over we will be hugging again to our hearts content ! Be strong and you will be fine!

That is great of your daughter to have done that with her children from a distance. Hopefully, we will. Thank you @garymarsh6. Happy weekend.

I think that is a good measure not to get close because your son came from outside. He might have caught something on his way to your house.

I'm finding the same thing, No longer hugs from the grandkids but a wave from the car as they pass by. It's sad but none of us want to get sick.

Great photo. It won't last forever. It's best to be careful for a while.
