A Double Delight

I bought a packet of daffodil bulbs last autumn and they were supposed to be single flowered ones - some with yellow centres and some with orange. However, I think whoever packed the bulbs must have found an odd one as this delightful little daff has come up. A lovely little double bloom. I suspect I would have paid more for double flowers but I'm not telling anyone!!!!

Isn't it just beautiful? We went to a daffodil show in Tasmania once and saw some really lovely blooms. This is one type I hadn't seen before.

They basically make the world go round. Without them we'd have no bees to pollinate food plants.

I love daffodils. I bought some from a street vendor last year but they did not bloom. I hope it works this year.
