Laughter is definitely the best medicine

So laughter! Very very important at times likes this. Good for your own wellbeing, and when you share it with others, good for them too. I would like to share a little story from yesterday. I spent 7 hrs and 20 mins on the phone with my sister in law. A normal visit to hers can easily be this long. Okay, we can’t see each other at the moment, but we talked and we talked. And the best bit was on working it out about 10% of the whole conversation was on what is currently going on. And about 70 of it was laughing and joking and keeping each others spirits up. The more I laughed the more she did and vice versa. It was a wonderful tonic. I gave myself a bellyache from it! And onto today, I have realised that at the moment I am a big fan of Loose Women (in the UK), as they are all doing their utmost on the program to keep everyone uplifted. As one said after another sang Bring me Sunshine while 2 others promptly danced around the set, it’s like they are having their own party there and welcoming people to join them! Well done Loose Women! I just couldn't stop myself laughing. Then I found accidentally on the phone, several comedy videos in a row. Stand up from Peter Kay, Michael Mcintyre, and another guy I can’t remember now, plus some good old fashioned Catherine Tate Nan and Keeping up Appearances. Maybe I am laughing more now than ever? Maybe even I am seeing comedy in things I might not have even found that funny before? I’m not trying to be insensitive here at all. It’s affecting us all, and we all have loved ones we care about, but laughter can help shut off the crap going on, even if just for a short while. It gives you a break from everything going on. Also, the more you laugh the more you can keep yourself in positive spirits, and not let things get to you. Why not dig out a few old comedies, and have a laugh too. Dig around on YouTube and you can find anything you want really. We all have different senses of humour so let’s laugh.

Do it. It's such a great tonic. A good old belly laugh, and it makes the world seem so much more a better place!
