He Overdid It.

Good morning all. I woke up this morning at 4 am and couldn't go back to sleep. So, here I am drinking my first cup of coffee and mylotting. I'm also watching reruns of Mike and Molly. I really hate that the show is no longer on.
My poor brother overdid it yesterday. My fibromyalgia was acting up big time and my feet were hurting too. It's supposed to rain today so that is probably why. Anyway, my brother wanted to start unpacking. I wasn't able to help so I tried to talk him into taking his time and doing a little every day and that I could help today when I was feeling better. He would have none of that.
He ended up unpacking almost 60 boxes. I kept trying to tell him to slow down and rest some or he was going to hurt that night. He told me to stop being a Mother Hubbard. So I kept quiet. I was proved right because he could barely move last night. I wanted to say I told you so really bad but I kept my mouth shut. Why do men have to be so darn stubborn and not listen? They really have a problem admitting that they can't do things like they used to.
Anyway, how has your weekend been so far?

That 60 boxes to unpack is a lot of work. You are right to caution him on doing that.

@simone10 sometimes excitement defeats practicality. It happens to me sometimes.

Haha typical man I know what you mean, that's a crazy amount of boxes to unpack but well done to him, hope you and your brother feel better soon and are staying safe

The man got into a groove, and didn't want to stop! I know how it is when you get into that groove and just want to keep going! And yes, we always pay for it later! haha

@moffittjc Yes, he is very stubborn! He remembers the days when everything came easy to him and I know it hurts his ego a little and he doesn't feel like a man if he can't do the same things he used to. But to be fair, when I first had problems with my feet and back, I felt the same way. I was in denial for a long time so I understand. The only difference is I don't have a heart condition.

@simone10 Oh, he's a stubborn one, isn't he? Yes, he needs to slow down and take it easy. Our tickers can only handle so much.

"Why do men have to be so darn stubborn and not listen? They really have a problem admitting that they can't do things like they used to." Because women are always 'challenging' us!!!
