What is a Necessity

Wow, nine out of ten top discussions here on Mylot are COVD-19 related. We come here from all around the world. It's a sad state when that is the common denominator in all mankind. Now most everywhere is on some kind of lockdown. I'm so humored to hear what some officials are calling necessities or essential. Maybe It's because of the frontier woman inside me that able me to live off the cuff. Are the rule makers and distant directors underestimating what we know and can do? Or are we all really so lazy we won't hunt and forage for survival? I may not have been there. It may have been before my time but I know it wasn't that long my countrymen had to live off the land. There weren't stores just everywhere like there are now. You couldn't hop in your car, drive five miles, fifteen times a week to fill your fridge. There are a few things that I know I will need to survive. Toilet paper people is not one of them. There are places in this world (if we could all not be silly about it) that use a bidet. So get you some water and clean yourself up. I always said the rush Black Friday was crazy, I never wanted to be part of that strange tradition. Now I have no choice. The stores have been mad for two weeks now. Though I don't drink I can sympathize with drinkers because I am a smoker But I don't expect the dispensary (wink, wink) to stay open through this shutdown. I stock up then be conservative. And both of these types of businesses have been deemed necessary. Maybe it's just an age thing. I can admit that my younger self thought Old Yeller and Atticus Finch, were like way, way old and a long time ago. Now after all these years of wisdom it doesn't seem so long ago.
