Don't know what country you are in but here in America people don't generally hate gays. What people hate are the protests and all the 'rights' groups that love to stir up trouble where there was none.

@JhovanPH Maybe one day that will change. Not everyone is onboard here but most people just don't care one way or the other. It's just those radical groups whether about gays/race/religion that cause all the trouble. I don't think it's one bit my business how you choose to live your life long as you are following a moral code that does not include harming children or the weak or committing murder. Ignore those that would give you a hard time if you can, they just aren't worth your time and worry.

Well I think there are some ignorant people out there who weren't taught about the fact that human is human no matter what sexuality, religion, background or else. But not everywhere in the world people are disrespectful to gay people. I am not gay myself but I support the LGBTQ+ Community. I think in our country we are very educated about them. I'm from Luxembourg and I am proud to say that our Prime-Minister is gay, he has been in his job since 2013 and he is doing a great job.
