When It All Becomes Too Much

We watched the news and one news item after the other only seemed worse. It bothered me so much, especially now when it seems there is question if New York, Connecticut, New Jersey could be locked down. I had to go lay down for a time. So much division when everyone needs to unite, fight this unseen enemy together. We don't have anyone who is working together to find out what's happening in our country. Someone is wanting to be ... king of the mountain. I recognize it. I grew up in a 'king of the mountain' family ... only they were all women. Vengeance, spite, anger is guiding people whom we look up for guidance, good advice, comfort. We aren't getting comfort from what's going on ... it creates fear, more unhappiness ... and people can only take so much. Our leaders should come together with all the governors ... create positive plans to go forward. When will we all learn to do things to make our world a better place ... we have to unite. Now, our world has become very sick and it's going to be hard to heal it as everyone is so divided. What are we going to do? That's why I go to my bed, lay down until I can go to sleep to escape for a time in the soft, gentle darkness to be calm. I say so many prayers for everyone, us. I care so much. I'm only one person ... as one person I don't know anything else to do. Hope ... I can only hope somehow huge miracles can happen to intervene to pull everyone together. We are seeing many small miracles of how people are finding ways to unite ... be together today ... even if they are a safe distance from the other. I believe ... I believe in us as a human race to overcome. I do have such hope. When it all becomes too much ... laying down on my bed to sleep is my way to gather more strength. I wake up feeling calm, stronger until the next time. I'm glad the weather is beginning to be warmer ... I will begin projects I have in mind to 'get lost' for a time. I look forward. What do you do?

I know what you mean. I can't watch the news anymore because each story is worse than the previous one. It becomes too much. The other night I was so overwhelmed by all of this with anxiety and fear. Will life ever return to normal? It might but it will take a very long time.

@GrannyGee I'm so sorry to hear about your son! No parent should EVER have to bury their child. How old was he if you don't mind me asking?

@SunnyBunch Yes, Crystal D, we will weather this pandemic together. It means the world to me to have you, everyone I'm meeting here, as new friends. I look forward to coming here now. Thank you for caring. The positive now is I can live with it and everything did get alright ... there's hope no matter what ... we have hope now to get past this pandemic. One way or other it is going to be alright again.

The coronavirus is wrecking the economies of the world, and destroying the lives of the people too. What would God's answer be to this huge problem we have now in our World? I think that he would say too, as always, for us not to seek the way of the fool, or money, but to follow only the way of love. Love weaves its way through all problems, shining its great light on the problems, so that all who see with love, will seek the right answers to problems, and will find the answers that they seek. This is the way of love; it always finds for you exactly the solutions necessary at the time.

Like you, I think this way too. I'm seeing so much love, caring on the news now. People are keeping their distance from the other yet ... they are comforting, showing such love. When everyone was rushing each day to jobs, so forth ... they could be close to others ... but, they were too busy. Now, all has stopped to put a distance between us all ... we have time to see the love, caring. I hope it overcomes all of the things happening in our world today. It's nice to meet you, Steve. @innertalks I hope your father in law is doing well now. I know what we all are living through doesn't help at all. Like you, it feels so good to see such love, caring ... when I watch it on the news I feel deep emotion ... the world had become too busy to stop to care about others as we are seeing now. It used to be random acts of kindness ... now ... every day so much kindness, love, caring. That is what gives us all hope for the future. Stay safe, you and your family, Steve.

@innertalks Yes, that's what makes all more chaotic ... more panicky. Here is the same way. I'm hoping the panic has begun to die down. They crowded the stores so much to grab, buy everything ... left nothing for anyone else. That was very sad. Still one can't find toliet paper ... of all things to hoard. The shortages began when greediness to have it all started. I hope it isn't as bad where you are.

We are ones who have to monitor at all times what's going on. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. In times like these, we want to be well-informed as much as possible. I am constantly praying inside for us all. Love to you.

Yes, each day I am seeing people come together to fight, save lives. To care by helping to feed the hungry, help people. One day everything will be alright again in a new-good way. That's my hope for the future. It's nice to speak with you, Arya. Gloria
