Excited to Find Another Bird Nest in my Yard

Another nest of eggs in the front yard. I was out walking around in the yard a few days ago. I noticed a bird fly out of my miniature spruce tree. Of course I had to investigate. I had my phone in my pocket. I slowly walked over to the tree, peeked in and there it was. A nest of eggs. The first day there was one, then two, and now three eggs. One is laid every day. I snapped a few photos and then got out quickly. It took a little while to figure out what bird laid the eggs. They are a different color I have never seen before. After researching I discovered they are... Thrasher eggs. This is the nest I have been watching outside the garage window on the stool! There are eight types of thrashers in North America. The Brown Thrasher is the most common type. I will write more about the bird later. Had to share the new nest of eggs with you.

How cool is that! I would have been super excited. Do you know if she will lay more eggs or not?

I am excited every year. These are new to me, have seen the thrasher but the first nest! Usually they will lay the eggs consececutively, one a day, she stopped at three. So we will see.

They looked beautiful. How many could they lay per nesting season?

These can lay up to six eggs, usually twice a year.

there has to be a sign above your house only visible to the birds "come here, it is wonderful!"

Maybe you are right. But I try to do my part year round. Seems to paying off. Plus the trees are growing every year. That helps.
