It was was a sad day yesterday for our " Barangay" ( Barangay is the smallest political unit in the Philippines similar to a county or township) we got our first confirmed positive. NCOVID-19 case.
Our city has 2 districts and every district has 10 barangays our barangay belongs to the second district.
Our Barangay is composed of 4 private gated subdivisions and 5 clusters of informal settler settlements where less fortunate people live making it the 3rd or fourth largest barangay in our city.
Until the other day, our barangay had been NCOVID-19 free, but yesterday we got sad news that a pilot in one of the subdivisions ( not in ours) tested positive, this despite of the curfew, lockdown social distancing, and street disinfectant spraying by our firetrucks. I wish the pilot got infected abroad and it's not localized, I also pray that he did not went around in our commercial plaza.
How is the situation count in your place? I really hope that it all goes down although all indications point out to the opposite. Picture is a screen shot of our city overall tally from FB as of yesterday. Thanks for reading and have a good and safe day everyone.

Our own gated subdivision would be our next line of defense, we do not have any cases yet inside, if it's breached then it would be every home to herself we do not yet know how many the single case had infected.

@snowy22315 sometimes it's scary to think how even 1 could infect so many when not detected on time

It was not a matter if but when it would get in. If their is one consolation at least it's not yet inside our private subdivision, we still have another defensive line.

Everybody in our private village is following the protocol and doing their part, my main concern now is if somebody gets infected in the less fortunate sector of our " barangay" where population is denser and people live in closer proximity, might spread fast. People there now are also getting hungry after weeks of strict quarantine without a source of income, some had already started going out to search of food and money.

@louievill yes, if this continues, they will have to send food aid to these areas.

It is not good here in Israel.
We have had deaths and have those that have gotten it and those that have recovered. When someone comes from abroad they put them right away in quarantine.

I pray nobody turns out positive in your subdivision, our subdivision still has zero so far, the first recorded case in our Barangay is from a subdivision nearby

Our country has had fewer cases but we always expect a sudden spike.

It's sad indeed. In CDO there are 4 covid deaths , 49 cases and 35 recovered. Many under investigation and monitoring. This is so because despite curfew and quarantine many are still going in an out. This prompted the other cities especially the Caraga regions to close all borders.

I hope the pilot just got it abroad or on the plane and he just went directly home. If it's a localized infection it means the spread might be bigger. The good thing is there is still none in our subdivision . You and your hubby keep safe too Thelma.
