I have wanted to to this for a long time but always thought that making donuts might be too complicated. However, with some extra time on my hands I took the plunge. I found a recipe for eggless donuts which are fried but not deep fried.I also made some donut holes as you can see in the photo.
It wasn't as difficult as I thought and turned out quite tasty and a bit healthier than the store bought ones. No deep frying, no eggs, no frosting except a sprinkle of icing sugar. Very moist and delicious anyway.
Have you cooked or baked anything new lately?

Your donuts look delicious. I would love one with my coffee
I haven't baked anything recently but your donuts sound easy so I might be tempted to make some

Let me be the judge of how good they turned out. Please ship a sample of the goodies to me today, and I will get back to you in a few days and let you know if I approve of their taste!

You will have to take my word for it and in any case it would be stale after a few days.

@moffittjc Nice try and if I knew it would have lasted I would have. There is a special cake I make at times it is a traditional black fruit rum cake and it lasts for ever, due to it being saturated with rum. That I have mailed in the past. Sadly I don't have any right now, but it is delicious.

Thanks, you are the first person that actually answered the question in my post so far. Peanut butter and banana are two of my favorite things.

Not lately, but I do remember from way back in my childhood when my Mom made doughnuts. They tasted like Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

When our kids were little I made donuts with canned biscuits. I would cut out a hole, then drop the dough and holes into hot oil, turn when brown, then roll in cinnamon sugar. Yours look yummy!

They can also be baked but you need the right pan for that.

I am glad you are happy with the donuts you made and that they taste good too. To me the taste is what is important and not how they look.

I use to make donuts using pillsbury dough biscuits. I would use a soda bottle cap to cut a hole in the biscuit aand use the cut dough in the cap for donut holes. I would then fry them quickly. It takes less than a minute to brown in one side so you have to thrn them quickly. Takes maybe about a total of three minutes to make. I would sprinkle a little sugar on top while they were hot. They were delicious!

I used a jar ring and a smaller plastic bottle cover for the cut outs. Yes they are quick and delicious.
