A virus lockdown in a cooler country is OK but when the sun shines and you feel it on your face after 6 months of cold you want to be outside. Prime Minister Boris Johnson's one lockdown concession was our daily walk or run and with the police unable to know how many walks you have had then you can be outside locally all day on your own ,or with your family, if you want. Its not much of a lockdown in truth. We can also go out to shop for food or do medical stuff.
This weekend looks warmer and so police will be out trying to break up groups in the local park They whiz around on their motorbikes doing that. if you are a couple or less and social distancing they tend to leave you alone. But this Sunday will be a test of the police animosity levels as people enjoy the sunshine as others work in the virus, the police being one of those groups.
For me, the right to be outside is saving lives. Its very hard to get the virus outside. Schools, entertainment and most shops are closed and the moist transmission is at work now. They bring it home and infect their families. You dont want to be inside all day knowing that. Spain and Italy locked up the infected with their families and killed thousands, not far short of genocide against older people. They intend to burn the illness out in the family homes.1% of the Lombardi region of Italy will die.

Probably because at start their PM did like Trump and presented it as a,light threat. Now he has seriously changed his mind.
I guess you will always have some people not respecting a stay at home order, but a majority does not want to get that and does not put the nose outdoors.

Soon people will do like here : there were a lot of people running, jogging and walking in my street 2 weeks ago, now you may hardly see one. My neighbors have their shopping brought to their door, and I have been told that the baker has a sign on his door : "Closed on the advice of my accountant."

Enjoy the outdoors.
People can go outside provided they have quarantine passes. Same thing, only go out for essentials.
There is talk that the lock down will be partially lifted.

You are right a lockdown is not people outside enjoy the sun with their family. I lockdown does include going to the grocery store and the pharmacy because one needs food and medicine. Other things we need to do can do and then get back home. In our country people pray at the Synagogue, but, now they cannot do that outside. They have to pray on their balconies if have one.

That's so nice! Many donating to help and soooo nice to see the compassionate and generous things people are doing in this worrisome times. But, this evening news, a health care facility had a break-in and n-95 masks stolen. It was for health care provider caring for covid-19 stricken. So sad!

@thedevilinme Tru but how about buttons on traffic lights or benches on park. You will not touch those or sit on bench?

One can also get some sunshine in the balconies of their homes, or roofs in some cases. And I have heard that England now has higher summer temperatures on an average than before. So would that help?

Amazing what has been achieved in the last week with the conversion of Exel, NEC etc. Not quite sure how they will get on staffing them with appropriately skilled people!

An early lockdown has helped India contain the cases. I am glad that our government took this big decision much before the real disaster. Situation has improved in most part of our country.
A strict lockdown and social distancing at places where you need to be for essential things is the only solution at present.

@thedevilinme This virus is heat resistant too. We have more numbers in states that are quite hot at this time. It is highly contagious.
