What the hell!? Who keeps giving our teacher the green light to continue!?

I am so bloody angry! Last night I made a Discussion explaining how yesterday was our last day in class and that it was being moved online. Was so happy to at least stop going in for awhile. I already knew I had about 6 emails from our teacher this morning but I didn't look at them yet. But when I went on Facebook, I saw messages in a group chat going on from the girls I sit with in class. And one of the photos they attached was the same one I attached here. An email from our teacher saying she has been given the go ahead to teach one more week. It may just be ONE more day but for goodness sakes make ya your friggen mind! And do they still not understand!? This virus is still catching people! The cases are still rising here. We are sick of worrying about being a carrier and giving it to others. We may not even get it! But doesn't mean we want to still go out there risking it. Oh I'm so angry!

No wonder you are furious I am for you too! I would reply such as this. Dear Tracy, I am so pleased to hear that you have been given the green light to continue to teach for one more week. However bearing in mind most of the country are using social distancing in order to avoid the spread of the virus I will not be attending. I find your suggestion highly irresponsible and now I question your ability to teach safely. While most governments have put bans on groups of people meeting how can you justify this moronic suggestion.. While those of limited intelligence have no concept of social distancing quite frankly I find your ignorance quite astonishing. I would suggest you review your decision immediately with the dean of the college and tender your resignation for your incomprehensible incompetence at putting others at risk. Do the world a favour and go lock yourself at home! Lots of love and virtual kisses from Danielle! Safely at home practicing social distancing!

@WorDazza I have to say I was incensed reading this especially from a tutor teaching health sciences and social care to others is just unbelievable and irresponsible. I certainly would like to have a personal few words with her! Eyup I am on me high horse again!

Couldn't put it any better than @garymarsh6 I wouldn't go in if I were you. We had over 500 deaths in the UK yesterday and we've been in lockdown for a week and a half. The numbers are expected to carry on rising for another couple of weeks. I'm surprised she isn't concerned enough for her own safety to see this as a stupid and dangerous move.

@VivaLaDani13 I don't believe in the media hype that surrounds this virus. However I do read scientific journals and listen to the opinion of respected virologists and medical people which point to this being a very dangerous virus which we will underestimate at our peril. Her first responsibility is to the safety of her students. So unless she's a virologist with proof that this is all hype then face to face classes should be a massive no no. And if she has that proof then I suggest she passes it on to the governments and chief medical officers of every country in the world and we can all get on with our lives.

@WorDazza I agree with what you're saying. And same, certain people I would rather listen to that have a better idea of what this virus is all about. Like medical people as you've said. lol I love that right there because you're 100% correct!

@WorDazza I have no doubt you would have said something just as good because you have a good level of sarcasm and care just like Gary. I would love not to go in but it's really hard. We have a choice not to go in but the more lessons we miss, the more we will get behind and the big kicker is, if you miss 2 weeks in a row, you get kicked out. It's a stupid and unfair loop we are stuck in. I understand where she is coming from, she doesn't believe in the hype as media likes to hype things up. I agree with that but for this particular subject, I'd rather not risk it. I may never get this virus but it's not like it sees me and thinks "Oh ok she has a course to do I will just skip over her." Ya know what I mean, it's dumb that we still have to go in!

My grandchildren have not had any presencial classes for 2 weeks. It was going to end now, but it has extended for 2 more months as the virus takes over. There are some places that have complete quarantine.

@VivaLaDani13 I started my self imposed quarantine 3 days before the government started to ask "people at risk" not to go out. Then, later, some parts of the country were put on quarantine. But I have to take care of my own body. In that case, I wouls not go to the course. You are risking too much.

@marguicha I wish everywhere could just do the same. Lock down every where. It doesn't help when people are still going out and about and attending certain things with lots of people around. It's not making sense with how some places are going right now including my stupid course.

@LadyDuck They sure are! I'm so so angry! I really am and so are the other girls. I was speaking to them on Facebook today and they are super p*ssed off too. One of them is actually not well right now that her mother will not let her attend class. I wish I could say the same for all of us.

@LadyDuck I'm still going through this Discussion to answer everyone but I did see a bit of what Gary suggested lol Loved it! I've done a newer post but will say here. We got another email today saying face to face teacher will be taking place instead of online. Even more angry now. It's really stupid!

You should get all the girls in your chat group to all respond to the email saying that none of you plan to attend due to concerns over the coronavirus. If enough of your classmates respond that they don't want to go in, your teacher will have no choice but to cancel the on-site class.

@moffittjc @Daljinder We did all do that. We all emailed or texted our teacher but nope. Still being pushed to go to class. So p*ssed off! And now online classes aren't being done at all. We all received an email today explaining that face to face teaching will continue.

@JohnRoberts Not completely I don't think. As far as I know, a lot of business have shut down and the boarders to each state has been shut down / blocked. But schools are still running because Australia is stupid. We have other rules going on fines that can take place but we aren't on complete lockdown.
