My daughter is now in Grade Nine and is about to enter high school. Because of coronavirus, they now have to take online classes at home. The teacher asks them to get up early every day to read, she agrees to get up at 6:30, but every day I have to wake her up several times before she can really get up, she is also very slow, after getting up she brushes her hair and washes her face. When she can sit down to read, it's at least seven o 'clock.I really hope she can be quick. Dear friends, do you have any good suggestions for this ?

Now I know my son is older than your daughter a year My son can get up early and I am really surprised that he had very excellent scores after the online courses. I even doubt whether the school doesn't really suit him I think he shall learn to be responsible for himself. So I don't really interfere him. He will "study" alone in his bedroom everyday. All I have to do is to prepare for the meals. After that, he will wash the dishes. He is very sweet. All I want to say is perhaps sometimes we shall give the children some privacy. The teachers will not let them have easy time if they do something wrong, such as late to the online courses.

@caopaopao I am not strick to my son at all I think I am just lucky. Or sometimes my son doesn't want me to feel upset. You always want to your love ones to be happy and actually you know what to do

Your son is great. Maybe I'm not usually strict with my daughter. Maybe she's not that eager to learn. I look forward to the day when she will take the initiative to learn.

Is she supposed to be online at that time? Would it matter if she did her reading later? Maybe she works better later in the day.

Some of her classmates get up at six in the morning to read, and most of the kids go to bed at 10:30 or even eleven at night. Maybe I should encourage her to be more efficient and get as much sleep as possible in the morning.

@caopaopao It's always a hard one with kids of this age.

She usually goes to bed at half past ten at night because the teacher leaves them a lot of work to do.

Perhaps she needs to go to sleep a bit earlier and have some breakfast first. My grandkids are doing the same thing.

Well, maybe she didn't get enough sleep. I will ask her to study as efficiently as possible and go to bed earlier at night. It will be better to have breakfast before reading in the morning.
