We have lost Jazz legend Ellis Marsalis to Coronavirus. This is so sad and it goes to show that no one is safe from this deadly virus. For those who don't know who Ellis Marsalis is, he is the patriach of the Marsalis jaz family that includes Wynton and Branford Marsalis. In addition to making several albums he was well known as an educator in the New Orleans Jazz scene. He was 85 years.
I have included a tribute video to the late jazz legend. May he rest in peace.

Yes he lived a long life but he may have lived a bit longer if not for this aweful virus.

He was a great man and a great musician, as are his sons.
