I had to run to Walmart to get my money order for my rent, and made it there just in time, got the Toilet Paper we needed and cat liter, along with some of the groceries we couldn't find at the store Wednesday because they were sold out, a few things we were unable to get but thankfully we got most of it. I did splurge on a Hoodie that was clearanced to three dollars and bought Myself a beautiful Orchid but most of the stuff we bought was to get us through at least a month more of sheltering in place. I have to get a ham for Easter but other than that we are set, panty is full, deep freezer is full along with the Fridge and Freezer and now I can stay home other than walking the block to feed Mr Grace at Church. Unfortunately the only thing I was able to get for Nancy's Hope was the case of chips she needed, unfortunately most of the stuff on the list I couldn't find, but at least I got her the chips.

That's great that you found toilet paper and some other items you needed. I found some at the store yesterday too...and enough eggs to last a while.

I ordered online at Walmart yesterday and they did not bring me all I had ordered and paid for. After several messages to a virtual assistant, they said they would return my money. I donĀ“t know when and if. What I truly wanted were the potatoes and the olive oil I did not get Still, I have enough things to eat. And Luna has food for at least 2 months.

That's awesome we have t.p for more than 2 months now, and enough cat food and dog food for a month.

Toilet paper is now coming back in stock again where I live, but tends to be restricted to one package per customer. Some stores won't even put the stuff out where you can get it and shoppers have to ask for it. It's crazy, I'll tell you that.

@porwest. Yup, and now we have to spend an arm and a leg to buy eggs while the chicken itself is under a dollar a pound. At least it is where I'm from. What are they feeding us, the chickens they destroyed with bird flu? LOL

@Novelangel Gosh, now that I think about it...hmmm. Could it be possible they'd let us eat potentially sick chickens?

That entire period was just nuts. If we ever found ourselves in a time when we could be in an episode of The Twilight Zone...THAT WAS IT. lol

This was during a time when even filler paper might have done the trick just because it was SOMETHING. lol

@porwest I wonder if some people used newspapers to wipe their butts lol. I remember a few times I went to the restroom in a public place and they were out of toilet paper. Had to use a piece from that brown roll used for wiping hands. It was not a gentle wipe lol.

@lovebuglena No. It's not. Luckily, even though there was a shortage, we never actually ran out of the real stuff. But I imagine some people may have and who knows what they had to do about it? lol

It's always a good thing when you can score things on your list these days. Hoarders are still emptying the shelves.

I still often wonder what actually happened to all that toilet paper people had? What a strange time it was.

Gosh. Those were the days weren't they? At the height of Covid. When no one could wipe their butts and finding toilet paper on the shelf was like discovering the Holy Grail? lol
