There is no publice transportation inside our village. They are the motorized tricycles as shown in the picture and pedicab which is powered by the feet. Since those transportation are banned for 3 weeks now, I wonder how those drivers are surviving. Fortunately I passed by the church yesterday and saw the priest giving gift certificates to those drivers worth 1,000 pesos ($20).

@LadyDuck the government's promise of aid has not arrived yet. This is how our government works especially when money is involved. Today is the start of the last week of the lockdown.

For sure they will survive but how to pay their debts is the question.

@Alexandoy
Not so sure now if they are traveling. In Jerusalem they should not be running tomorrow.

That is true but the government should consider the life of those drivers

@Alexandoy It is not as strict as Wuhan, but it is much more serious than many places. As no public traffic is a big issue.

So our lockdown is more strict than Wuhan? People here just walk if they have no car.

No public transportation means no travel for many.

We all need to be thinking about those whose very lives have been forced to a standstill during this crisis. There are many industries where the people are not able to work, and don't have any money saved up to help them get through this crisis. I hope everyone is doing well, surviving how ever they can, and I also hope that more people are helping out those less fortunate (like the priest handing out gift certificates).

I know that some families have not enough to eat. But I couldn't help all of them.

@Alexandoy No, there is no way we can help everybody out there that is in need. But if we can help just one, then that's what we should do!

It is prohibited here, I don't know if that is the order of the village officers or the barangay.

@Nakitakona it is confusing with the orders because there is one from the mayor, another from the barangay and another from the village officer.
