Working from home is a new concept for me.
I mean, i know the definition, the process, etc. But i've never experienced it. Until now.
Starting tomorrow, us employees are ordered not to go to the office but instead are instructed to continue our work and do it at home.
In my limited grasp of the matter, it seems exciting (not that i'm excited for the reason behind it).
However, i'm worried that i may not have the enthusiasm to work. Given that rhe sofa, the tv, annd the likes are just a few steps away.
I've been thinking of ways to motivate myself, or somehow give me the needed energy. One of these is making time schedule to do things like coffee, toilet break, walk around among others. Of course in the office these are all automatic. But in the comfort of home, i'm just not too sure.
For the experienced ones, maybe you can share some tips? Haha.

Regularly? Just the usual browsing like the average person.
I have a day job. But this corona made my company order me to work at home.
I was in mylot in my younger days, so i just thought to come back since i have more spare time now.
How are you doing?

I have known several people who work from home (before this pandemic forced many to do so) and it seems that the most important things are:
1) Establish a dedicated office space, even if it's just a table or desk in the corner of a room. You can even make it something you can pack away when you're not "in the office". as long as it's easy to set up and 'different' from the normal household look. If you have a spare room or a garage or shed which you can convert, so much the better.
2) Make sure that the rest of the household clearly understand that when you are "in the office" you are NOT to be disturbed. Agree on some rules around that.
3) Many people find it helpful to take a journey 'to the office'. You could schedule your daily exercise to 'take you to work', for example. One person I know (whose office was 10 yards from the house) used to drive his car from the front of the house round to the back!

Yey, helpful tips.
Actually these things are playing in my mind. Well, except for the driving around thing. But that's a good idea to cheat the mind that you are actually going to the office. I am not so sure witht je quarantine order, though.
Thanks for the input.

WFH for me is still have to be in formal condition, cloth, and performance. Because im a teacher and i have to conduct an online class. So it' s force me to make my works still in formal situation. My conclusion is WFH dont change anything if we have to face someone by online. But if our job can be done behind the desk... maybe it make us more rilex too

Well, my "real job" is not online. Hopefully someone below me has an answer.
