What kind of human being is this young lady age 17 , grade 11 from the city of Zamboanga ? This teenager said she felt life so tight and suffocating staying inside home for almost two weeks now. She and her mom had a heated argument yesterday afternoon. Her daughter got mad and irritated for her mom hid her motorcycle to disallow her daughter to roam around to bond with her friends despite on quarantine situation.
At three o' clock in the afternoon the girl set their home on fire. She is now under the custody of the police and to pay the arson crime. The more she cannot anymore roam around. I think this girl had a bad influence with her peer. or by nature bad. I also had read news that one male teenager committed a suicide for feeling so depressed about quarantine rules. I cannot understand the attitudes of the young people this time. Many lack good manners and right conduct. They like to live full of freedom. They never feel how deadly the virus is. They are senseless and irresponsible.
How do you deal your teenage children to avoid boredom at home?

@LadyDuck , you are right , the parents participate i the becoming of their children. They must befriend their children, attend to their needs , listen to their woes and problems. They should always communicate and talk to them gently.

Teenage kids are dependent on technology and friends for emotional support. Problem is the busy schedule of parents. Imagine you only spend 2 or 3 hours with family and 10-12 hours with friends and now you are not allowed to meet your friends. Children's need psychologist right now more than elders.

@neha211985, I agree with you. Parents should always communicate with their children to feel no bridge built between them . Young people this time are greatly influenced by technology and somewhat exploited from their peer.

@cacay1 yikes that's a little harsh. I wouldn't wish someone to not be born. I'm just saying what she did was idiotic

@averygirl72, yes true. Parents must teach their children to fear God , teach them to pray and have them the best friends too of their children. Communication between children and parents is so vital so when they grow they'll become useful citizens and obedient children.

The news is very surprising. I think maybe these teenagers are too bored at home, school and society should let them have their own tasks at home, it will be better.

@id_peace, how nice hehehe. That daughter lose her mind. She is a selfish daughter. She better had helped her mom in house chores or discover her potential like painting or guitar strumming. There are so many things to avoid boredom. Young people must understand what we have this time is not a one family problem, but worldwide.

@HazySue, you are right. They cannot correct their bad attitudes. They cannot even clean their own bedrooms. Why I say so because I visited my student's parents for some counseling. When I entered her bedroom, my goodness so dirty. Dirty clothes scattered around. What she was doing was watching videos. She was so shocked and blushed when saw me in front of her in a very dirty room . After that she changed her attitude. Her mom texted me and was so thankful of my unannounced visit.

There is a rise in domestic violence because of this quarantine.

@happylife1, youths this time are far different from the youths of yesterday when internet
not yet existed. Library was full of students reading and researching. This time, they can't even organized their own composition, mostly copy and paste. Plagiarism is rampant because they used technology in the wrong way. Many become lazy.
