Does anyone think with the current state of infections and deaths compared to recoveries in your countries if we will have an extension of the lock-down? What will we do for cash or how will we be able to help the less fortunate? How long will that extension be? Do you think it will be better for us to finally get rid of the virus and keep everyone locked up till we can say for sure that we are safe?

I believe next Monday the French President will announce an extension to the lock down. Here it is supposed to be reviewed on the 16th although the government are reviewing it tomorrow in their usual meeting but I suspect it will be extended further. The lock down is currently trying to reduce the amount of hospital admissions after initially letting people build up a natural immunity. Some people have adhered to it but others have been morons so the peak is expected within the next week!

Thanks for the info and wet pray that whatever decision made will be for the better of the nation. We will always have idiots who think that they are above the law who always put others in danger. Here in South Africa we have completed two weeks of our 21 days lock-down, and we might or might not see an Extention it's still unclear. There is still that period of finding out how many people are infected still after the lock-down which I think will determine if we continue or stop. Nonetheless we hope for the best!!

I agree the longer the shutdown is, the less sustainable it becomes. Medical personnel still need food, and someone needs to provide it. I guess there need to be a balance of people likely to be immune and not spread it.
