I Was Totally Stupid This Morning

I decided to shave my legs. I don't do that very often, but I thought what the heck, it's almost summer, so I did. I dry shaved my right leg with a brand new razor. It took over an hour to stop all the bleeding and now my leg feels like a raw piece of meat. The sting and pain are excruciating. I can't touch my leg without it going into intense pain. I thought putting lotion on it would help. If it does, I'll be happy. In the meantime, the sting is worse than ever. It's just now calming down but still painful.
I was smart with the left leg.
If you have ever done what I did this morning, you know what I'm going through right now. If you haven't, don't.
Have you done anything totally stupid lately?
I just got back from my walk. The weather is beautiful and I'm wearing shorts, for obvious reasons. I didn't want to get my slacks full of blood this morning when I dressed. I'm close to my daily goal and should get 7000 steps as I read your posts. I hoped to do two walks today, but that's out of the question. My right knee didn't like the walk and I needed to back off my pace or find myself on the ground.
I also picked up my bagsket this morning from church. They just had to put Hershey's Kisses in the bag. Thankfully, only about six. Yes, they're gone.
How is your day going? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

Oh man, that sounds horrible. I have never shaved my legs. But I HAVE shaved my face of course. Although these days I use an electric razor, so no nicks for me in years. But back in the day when I DID use a razor, a styptic pencil was always in my arsenal and standing at the ready.
I hope your leg gets to feeling better. I guess you won't be wearing a pair of shorts for just a little while longer. Although, if you do, and anyone asks what the heck happened to you, you could always just tell them you met with a very unruly cat.

Ouch! I have used aloe gel in times like that. But since it's been cold weather for a while now, I haven't had to shave my legs. Stupid things - well, I know I'm supposed to use gloves while cleaning but didn't. I sprayed with hydrogen peroxide and not only did my fingertips turn white, but some parts of my arm felt like little burn pinches - I had to shower right away!!

A lot of the time I think my middle name should be "stupid" if it weren't something else. I just got "easter basket" makings for my nephews, though I know they won't get them until after Easter.

@just4him I know my youngest nephew probably will. My two older nephews are--well, I don't know if it's in my head or what, but they may be getting "too old"? Meh--until they tell me otherwise I'm still going to do it. I'm their aunt, that's what aunts are supposed to do !

Hope the leg feels better fast. I use nair anymore. Got tired of cutting myself near my ankles.

I'm glad I use a battery powered razor. Lol. Always been afraid of being cut bad. Especially since I'm bad with blood and pain.
Hope that doesn't happen again

@just4him I've tried nair but couldn't stand the smell, and my hair grows back kinda fast but not fast enough to use nair.

@just4him Some of those razor abrasions can really smart for a while, especially from dry shaving.

At some point I quit growing hair on my legs, my arms, my pits. Mom said it would happen by the time I was 21, but it did not. I wonder if it was because of our Native American Ancestry. I have slivered and sliced and diced my legs when I was younger and man those things are painful. I agree you needed the chocolate, and six kisses is not too much. Have a great rest of your day.

Thank you. I wish my hair would disappear. Oh well, I don't shave that often. I don't know what possessed me this time. Next time I'll use Nair. It's good now, thank you. Yes, those Kisses were the perfect remedy for my stupidity.
