I Have The Best Brother Ever!

Good morning! I am so tired this morning. I went to bed at midnight and woke up at 2 am because my feet were hurting. We had severe weather come through last night with winds up to 70 miles per hour. I was really scared. Fortunately, it went through pretty fast but that was why I was up later than usual. When my brother came home from work last night, he had me a surprise. He put together an Easter basket for me. Inside the basket are: plush bunny rabbit, 2 cups with lids/straws (I drink out of these all day), an egg paper weight with my initial, a package of Dove truffle chocolate candy, a bag of black jelly beans, thin mints, Reese's peanut butter eggs and mini peanut butter eggs. There may be more but I don't remember right now. He is so thoughtful and the best brother ever! Daisy is getting better every day. I ordered her a dog ramp to use in the living room. Twice today when she was laying beside me, she jumped down out of the recliner before I could stop her. I am so afraid she is going to hurt her back again. My brother is off today and tomorrow. I'm glad because he could use the rest. I hope everyone has a great day!

You really have a very nice brother. No chocolate egg for me this year, as we were not allowed to go out shopping. I will buy one at after Easter.

@MALUSE We were not allowed to go out shopping since March 12th, no one over 65 in the stores. From Tuesday we can go shopping again, no matter what I can buy will be a pleasure, I felt like in prison.

I really am blessed. We have two sisters that we had a falling out with years ago. I've tried to patch things up with them but was ignored. So it's just me and my brother.

Yes, they are a blessing. As for working, it depends on the state. I live in Kentucky and the only people who work now are essential workers.

I am so glad for you having such a wonderful brother.

I know what you mean about Daisy. I had bought Coco doggy steps way back yrs ago when she hurt her back and hip. It took forever of me reminding her and saying "steps" when she would jump.

I hope Daisy learns soon.

We've had the ramp for a couple of days now and she is doing really good. Going down is no problem but she doesn't care for coming up it. I do have to remind her because I caught her a couple of times starting to jump off the chair. She will get the hang of it

That was so sweet of your brother! My brothers never do stuff like that for me lol. I'm so glad that you had a good day, despite the painful 2 am wake up call! I am glad that your dog is doing better. I think a ramp will help her a lot. She doesn't understand the things that she shouldn't do, and that is hard. You are a great doggy mom :)

"Dove truffle chocolate candy" Hey, if you can't finish them I volunteer to do the job!! I went to get Chocolate Matzoh for Passover and the store was out of all of them!!!

One night when my brother came home from work, Daisy jumped up on him because she was excited to see him. She twisted wrong and hurt a disk in her back. She's been on medication for a couple of weeks now.
