It's Maundy Thursday and the stray cat that we adopted gave birth to 5 kittens today. I never wanted cats and I can keep the mother, because I have learned to love her but I am not sure what to do if she gets pregnant again. This is her second time being pregnant from the time she came here and I don't know what happened to her babies then. We decided to get rid of her and gave her to someone else an animal shelter kind of but after she have given birth she returned. Now after a few months the cat was pregnant again and had just given birth. But I am not sure what to do with the kittens. We cannot keep them at home. But the cat won't like to part with her babies.

oh what if you keep them and give them to someone once they are adults already.

They keep staying in my bedroom, there is only one kitten left now. And although I have no intention of keeping the cats, I feel bad abandoning both of them now.

@Janet357 Wow, that's a lot. The thing with cats is they all seem to need a carer.

That cat really wants you I guess. You can get her fixed.

Yes, it looks like she choose me to keep her safe. I have very sad new. The 4 kittens disappeared the night of the day they were born. I kept the cat and the litters outside the and made them house from boxes and covered it with something. The 4 kittens may have been eaten by either a dog or by a tomcat. The mother looks traumatised and she seems to always look for the kittens
