There's always a car alarm going off

When I lived at the house for 15 years I don't think I EVER heard a car alarm going off on the block. It just wasn't a thing. Here? At the apartment complex? It is a daily thing and sometimes it happens multiple times per day. Morning, afternoon, middle of the night--doesn't matter. It is a 24/7 phenomenon. I'm a pretty mellow go-with-the-flow person but the neverending car alarms immediately put me on edge. It isn't like people are breaking into cars here multiple times per day each day. What are these people doing? Sitting on their keys? I don't even know what the other possibilities are. So guess what just happened here?

I know what you mean! I'm in an apartment complex too, and it happens so often.

The stupid things go off giving false alarms, what good are they?

That would drive me mad. We have a village idiot here who rides his ATV around and around the loop at earsplitting levels. I have fantasies of stringing up some piano wire over the road...
