I'm bored - so I conjured up a task for Vince

Although nothing much has changed for us, I’m trying to regard ‘social isolation’ as a chance to do a few chores that we’ve been putting off. I’d like to feel that we’d accomplished something during our enforced stay-at-home period. One of these tasks was to sand down and revarnish our piano stool.
We had the tools needed although the varnish tin is now wiped out clean. Vince missed varnishing the inside of one leg – the piano stool’s, not his – but luckily eked out enough varnish to finish the work.
I’ve attached before and after photos so you can see the difference. It won’t need doing again in our lifetime.

@wolfgirl569 Haha - I'll have to think of something. He knows better than to say he is bored!

Did you use invisible varnish on the piano stool? Because it's not there!
....and now magically it is! haha

@JudyEv I need to put some of that invisible varnish on myself! Haha
Reminds me of a corny joke I heard once:
I put spot remover on my dog. Now he’s gone!

@moffittjc I think you might need some restorative stuff on yourself first - before the varnish.

@JudyEv it really does. I think I have used polish to kinda.... lazy man polish up something before. or oil, but that is way better

So let me get this right. You're bored. So you find something for Vince to do!!
You are my wife!! This only reinforces my belief that there is only one woman on the planet who time-slices between all of the physical entities we know as women!!

It looks much nicer. Vince will so appreciate you being isolated when you create a large honey do list for him... Hmm, I wonder what I could have him do now? Oh well, Idle hands are the devil's workshop..

That is a lovely bench and Vince did a grand job. I have a little drum table that was my Grandmas. I was told to spray it with honey wax. Supposedly the honey wax would not harm or smear the little table. I tried to polish the silly table well with the stuff. But now I have a table that has residue on it. Frustrating.

I need to convince J to get some of the honey-do's worked on. I just want to keep him busy. Me, I have plenty of sewing and stitching and cooking to do -- I really want to make a Victoria Sponge for tomorrow. (Yes, I know it's Passover, but J didn't buy any Matzot or specialty baking stuff. Sigh)

He did a really nice job. I like the way you do chores...you find them; and Vince does them. :-)

Yesterday, I accomplished the bookshelf. Tonight, I am tackling the closet. The things I find when I clean! I organize the closet alot, as I like to donate clothing. But, not sure what to do tonight with donated clothes as my church is closed. I do not want to hoard in my basement.

It looks so nice! It is good to have some projects while being at home these days! I do that also, I try to do even little projects while in isolation.

It makes me feel that I'm not just wasting my time. The projects may be small but at least I'm getting something done.
