Hopefully the titles of these 25 songs I’ve presented in these two countdowns have given you a chuckle or two. I’ll close down this countdown with another longtime favorite band and a most appropriate title. Here’s your laugh, ahem, song for today.
#1: All Alone Together - Poco
(Yes, John, you can say it, but no, you don’t have to.)
Did you know some people are even use this title as a descriptor for this situation? I hear an ad on the radio, “We’re all (hashtag) alone together.”
Yes, we are.
No, that’s not what this song is about.
Bands on tour know exactly what this song is about. It’s an apt description of what musicians give up for us (“the road that last forever that’s been keeping you from yours and me from mine”) and the boredom (“Night and day become the same fine line”).
You know something? We are experiencing something far worse than a tour that’s keeping us from ours; and, for many, night and day have become the same fine line. In fact, there’s a meme on Facebook that says, “Until further notice the days of the week will be known as thisday, thatday, otherday, whatday, yesterday, today, nextday.”
Enjoy the music. Enjoy the moment of pause, because it’ll end too soon and you’ll want it back.
Thanks for reading.

@FourWalls Would you be against someone else compiling one using your list of songs and then sharing it with you?

@spiderdust — of course not. That’s my job: to introduce people to the obscure music I like.
