What do grocery stores look like by you?

Have you been to one lately? I haven't in over a week. When I was there you couldn't find any fresh lettuce, baby spinach, salad kits, etc. There was no pasta, no rice packets, no bags of plain rice, no pasta, and no boxed macaroni and cheese. I couldn't find tortillas or dry cereal. Of course there was no toilet paper or paper towels, no hand soap, no hand sanitizer, and no bleach. No stuffing mixes, no bread crumbs, and no peanut butter. There was plenty of meat and chicken in the cases, though. You could get most fresh fruit and vegetables. There was plenty of cheese, sour cream, cottage cheese, butter, etc. Now I'm seeing on the local Facebook group that the local store is pretty much cleaned out of EVERYTHING. That makes me happy that I am stocked up for months. What's the situation in your area?

March 26 is the last time I was in a store. It was well stocked with some bare shelves. Hubby went today. He couldn't get yeast or powdered milk. He couldn't get yeast last week either. He didn't look at another store. Not that important. He said there were bare shelves here and there. But he didn't really know what was missing as he just got what he was after. We are always well stocked.

@NJChicaa there was flour. In a couple weeks we might be sorry we didn't get any. But no problem buying bread anyway.

Things are pretty sparse, and now they are enforcing limits and only allowing a few people in the store at a time and they have a time limit as well as purchase limit.

So far so good. We still have all what I need at the store. Hoarding is not allowed here that`s why the stocks are still ok.

Our stores here are good. Only things we can’t get are hand sanitizer, aloe, gloves, masks, food items are pretty good so far but have not needed nothing lately so don’t know what it is like right now

The rice/pasta aisle is still shallow, otherwise, it's starting to return to normal.

Still out of toilet paper (when my husband was there, they had some in the back but weren't putting it out yet), Ramen noodles, most soups, the better breads, most meat, etc. Still not good.

Here the supply is normal and there are various kinds of things in the supermarket. And the discounts are also available. I think the situation is just temporary in your side.

I would say the store closest to me, is about half stocked at best. Finding what you want is really hit or miss.

I haven't been to a mass merch store in over a month . . . so I can't speak for stuff like TP and such. But I last went grocery shopping last Thursday. Things "appear" to be better . . . some stores are more systemized which helps. I was pretty much able to get everything I needed. Still some items were missing, but I cannot complain compared to just a couple weeks ago. Hopefully the hoarding has mostly stopped.

Things are remarkably good here, all things considered. I went out this morning and the grocery store was pretty well stocked on most things. They might have been a little sparse on eggs in the refrigerated case, but the bunker was full. The meat department looked mostly normal, so did the bakery and the produce section. I got hand soap without much issue, it's just not our preferred brand. Dunno about the toilet paper situation there since I didn't look, but I ventured out to two different Walmarts over the last week and they both had toilet paper. The store I went to yesterday had the paper aisle about half full, although it was just a couple different brands and sizes instead of the normal assortment. They seem to have a lot of the baking ingredients back in stock along with rice and dried beans, too. I imagine living in a less populated area makes quite a difference on how easy things are to find.

Sorry to hear that people in your areas are in this situation In my country, in some days before of isolation announcement, there were some places people increased buying in supermarkets, but before that the government had asked supermarkets to have measures to ensure the best supply of goods to avoid running out of stock , so the supermarkets always quickly refill goods. The government also sends a message to each person through smart phone that government ensuring adequate supply of goods, so no need to buy much more than demand to stock. At present, supermarkets and shops are still full of goods as before. People follow the social distancing so they buy more goods just a bit , in each time they go out , to reserve for the whole week at home. People are not worried about shortage of goods so there is no rush to shop. In blockade areas where isolate the sick or suspected people, government provide cooked meals every day and all the necessities needed for living, all are for free so people feel safe and secure

Runs hot and cold in areas. One store can have lines then one down the block none. Goofy times.
