An Australian shopper from Adelaide has tried to get a refund on thousands of dollars worth of toilet paper and sanitiser. He bought the goods to stockpile at the start of the coronavirus panic buying. The buyer has been unable to re-sell the goods online and is now seeking a refund.
The goods are worth around $A10,000. The man had a team of around twenty people buying the goods for him. Apparently his eBay site has been shut down. I hope he wallows in toilet paper and santiser for years to come. I forgot to mention he wasn't allowed a refund. At least there is some justice in the world.
Oh, by the way – would anyone like to buy a 2020 planner? It’s hardly been used. (That’s a joke. I’m hoping my planner will be full of engagements from about October onwards.)
Edit: I should have added that the guy had 132 packs of toilet rolls and 150 one-litre bottles of hand sanitiser. Now he is stuck with it.

@JudyEv yup.
Hopefully, he learned his lesson and he donates these. Try to earn some good karma back.

@allen0187 It would be good if he donated it somewhere.

they should have learned from what happened to Matt and Noah Colvin of Tennessee.
"Tennessee Brothers Donate 17,700 Bottles of Hand Sanitizer After Amazon Blocked Them, Citing Price-Gouging"
Amazon pulled Matt Colvin's items along with thousands of other similar listings, citing price gouging

@yrnemo well, matt and noah colvin of tennessee were pretty efficient about cleaning out shelves of stock as detailed by the new york times (i linked the article). the stores shouldn't have let them even if it meant profit for them.

@hereandthere Oh, that guy... I read that news a while ago and couldn't stop laughing a bit (he and his brother were mean OK) but in the end, the guy donated everything (a big loss in money but a huge lesson for him I hope).

He's stuck with all that hand sanitizer, and yet nobody here in the US can get any....
What the government should do is force him to sell those supplies at cost to those in need.

@JudyEv If he lists those products for a reasonable price, he should still be able to see them. Especially the hand sanitizer. I know it's still really hard to get that product, at least here in the US.

@moffittjc Since he can't make a killing, he probably can't be bothered. I think his eBay account might have been closed too.
