It's the invasion of the woolly worms

But thank goodness it's not zombies. Or walkers as they're called on The Walking Dead TV show.
There are right many on the back porch (worms, I mean, not zombies),I saw one on one of our peach trees and tried to knock it off. It held on tight, so I hope it won't harm the tree.
The short walk I took was wonderful. My husband was on the tractor and he stopped to show me where that person ran off the road into our field recently. I could see the tire marks where he was skidding off, I guess, then where the car dug into the dirt. We thought the person had just missed a telephone pole, but when we looked closer, we saw a little of the wood on the pole was scraped off. So he (or she?) actually did hit the pole a little, then we could see more tracks has he slid into the field.
I just hope that person thanked God for protecting him from hitting the telephone pole. He very well might have been killed.
Anyway, the walk felt wonderful and I hope the woolly worm invaders will soon be gone. I wonder if they turn into something else? Do you have these?

@1creekgirl I've never seen these woolly worms before. They almost look a bit cute lol But I wouldn't want them surrounding my house. I hope they can all go away soon for you.

I get them every year on the oak trees in my front yard. Thousands of them. Last year I had a company come out and spray the trees. I have never seen so many of the woolly worms fall from trees before. It was like the ground was blanketed with them. So now I'll have to see what happens this year. So far, I haven't seen any of them, but if I recall correctly, it seems like I get a bad infestation of them every other year or so.

Will they harm your trees if you don't get rid of them?

@1creekgirl This was the first time I had the trees sprayed, but we've had infestations of them before. I don't think they permanently damage the trees, but I'm sure on a temporary basis they do because they eat the leaves. But my oak trees have been thriving in my yard for a very long time, so I guess they don't really hurt them.

I don't think they're harmful, maybe to plants, though.

I'm not sure if they can also turn into butterflies.

I hope those worms don't eat your trees and plants. I don't know what they are. Thank goodness the person did not hit the pole.
