Froze my ass off but got a hike in yesterday.

As my friend and I were driving West on Highway 24, we noticed the fog rolling in from the Bay. Oh oh. We were heading toward Inspiration Point, one of the only trails in Tilden Park that's not closed right now.
When we left my house, it was about 60 F degrees out and sunny. By the time we got to the trail head, it was about 45 F out, and the edge of the fog right where we stood. We could look East and see Mt. Diablo in the sparkling sunshine. We could look West and see...virtually nothing.
I'm a planful sort, in my own chaotic way, and had two extra sweatshirts (hoodies, actually) in the back of my SUV. I gave the thicker one to my friend and donned the other one.
We actually had a nice hike. We only went about a mile in, and a mile back, but we got some good conversation in, and said hello to friendly strangers (and joggers) who passed us.
It's chilly again to day, but I may try to get a short cycle in. I'll attach my generic "pretty sunset" photo, taken a couple of years ago in late December, when the sun sets right over the Golden Gate Bridge. Can you see our famous bridge in the distance in the photo? Are you getting some exercise in during these cooped up times?

Dude, that sky is on FIRE! Love it. I've drive across the Golden Gate many times on my adventures in the San Francisco area.

Beautiful photo. We experienced that fog when we traveled to CA, OR & WA. It's so weird. We went up a hill; and the sun was shining hot and bright...back down the hill and it's cold and you can't see anything. Sitting on a bench in front of a lighthouse I watched the fog head toward me, it got colder and colder; and then I was enveloped in fog and shivering with my windbreaker on! Wild stuff! I'm with DKM. Don't your pants fall down now that you froze your behind off? :-)

Ah, that explains why you were so quiet yesterday! I'm glad you got a hike in.

@TheHorse Today was more of a "cooking and cleaning" day here, with a musical in the evening.

that sounds like an amazing walk, ours are a little more burning. Walk to the fire station, turn left, walk all the way around our neighborhood, head home!

@TheHorse during the week I walk 2.6 miles early in the morning (before dawn) and then end of day another 3.4 miles with the dogs and twins.
On weekends I average 7.4 miles per day...

I have managed a mile a day for the last 31 days (baring one day), and will keep that up as long as I can manage.

That's a great photo. I always admire it when you put it up. We're not great into exercise but we're trying to do better and we certainly get out and about each day.
