What age do you stop having kid birthday parties?

At what age can you stop having kid birthday parties. They are so expensive!

I let my kids have a party until they don't want to anymore. My 14 yr. old didn't want a party so I asked him if he wanted to have some friends over for pizza or something. He said no. That was fine. We just gave him some gifts and had a cake. My 10 yr.old still likes to have parties. I don't go overboard cause they can get expensive.

I don't know if there is actually an age where you stop, but I found them pretty lame once I hit 10 years old..

I know a lot of families anymore that only Celebrate certain age achievements, like maybe 3, 5, 8, 10, 13 and 16. The choice is up to you though.

I will have parties for my children until they wont let me anymore...lol. My parents quit when I was 13...after that they just gave me money and took me shopping. It usually around 200$. And I got to have a few friends go with us and then spend the night.
