Not in a celebration mood

My birthday is coming up. My kids decided to get me a practical gift this year. They bought me a big size window a/c unit. As hubby and I had been looking at those a few weeks back, I know how much my son paid for it. Since our a/c unit quit working, we did need to get one before the temps hit the 90's. It's because I've been having a rough time with the gastroparesis, been sick for 3 days now, I know I hurt their feelings for not being more joyful in their gift. It's not because I'm not. My son always strives to get me what I want/need. I just wanted to crawl back in my bed and cry myself back to sleep. I hate feeling this way.

He did call me yesterday and asked if I was ok. I could hear the concern in his voice. I did reassure him that I was ok. I just wasn't feeling well but I never miss an opportunity to have them come over. Made plans for them to come over next weekend to celebrate his birthday.

Since the weatherman says we're supposed to hit the 90's by the weekend. That unit is going to be out to the rest :)
