Spring Meadow

While I was standing at the bottom of my garden the other day with a mug of hot tea in my hand I looked across the meadow beyond and just lost myself in the sight of a beautiful blossoming blackthorn bush with the lush green grass of the meadow behind it and, beyond that, the rickety five bar gate which separates the meadow from the field beyond. And then there was that lovely old oak tree just starting to sprout it's lovely green shiny leaves. They're pale green now but, during the summer months, they'll make a wonderfully cool, dark green canopy over the meadow. While I was pondering on this wonder of nature I got to thinking that this would make the perfect location for a fairy story although, at the moment, I can't see where that story's heading. Suggestions anybody?
