The Boys are Home

Tinker seems oblivious. We are supposed to keep him in for about a week if possible so that he does not jump and climb too much. He is a happy, hungry boy and glad to be back at home.
Mickey is pouting a bit. It scares him to go on car rides, I think. I held him and he shivered all the way. He wanted his evening wet food, but did not eat much of it and does not want to make eye contact. He would also like out, but it is raining. He would not like it if I let him out.
Both the cats are now up to date on their shots for everything. The vet did exams before she gave shots. At least the paperwork says she did. No one is allowed in. The technicians come out to your car and get your pets and payments and bring your receipts when they are done.
For size comparison, Mickey, whom we are guessing at at least four years old based on what Ann told me weighs 8.8 pounds. Tinker, based on same anecdotal information, is likely 11 months old. He weighs 11.2 pounds. He is a big boy.
I had a bag of catnip on hand and I filled a couple of mismatched socks and knotted them. Kitties enjoyed that when they got home.
So that is how my afternoon went.
I will likely go over to the school in the morning. We have an afternoon zoom with a student scheduled. I hope the rain goes away soon.

my pup got himself out his cone within an hour of coming home. Our cat was already fixed when we adopted him

Yeah, they did not offer a cone for Tinker. He really seems none the worse for wear.

I have had one or two that actually enjoyed it. What I have read in the past is that riding in a vehicle gives a cat some kind of vestibular imbalance and makes them very uncomfortable.

@GardenGerty I had one that enjoyed it. She was an outside cat and would sneak in if the windows were down. Once I started moving she would climb into the back window to lay

So you know anything about Kansas opening up on the economy? Oklahoma is slowly doing a rollout, and I wasn't sure which states were. This Friday hair salons are opening again, along with places that do manicures and pedicures. But by appointment only, and everyone has to keep a distance from each other. Restaurant dining rooms are opening too. After a few weeks, if everything goes well, they'll open churches again.

Technically they are closed to May 3. @Marsha32 attends a church with a small congregation and they have continued to meet. She said they have been doing Bible Study in the fellowship hall and each had their own table. Our pastor says we may have service May 1. I know we are being very cautious here at least in some part.

Were the socks pink?

No, they were red and green Christmas socks. Mickey likes to hoard both of them.

I'm sure Mickey will readjust after being home for a while. I'm sure you're happy to have them home again.
