My nephew is now 17 years old and still on a ventilator. He will be on the ventilator probably his whole life but he doesnt let that slow him down.
The past few months, he has been OBSESSED with tye dyes and we’ve even tye dyed MANY MANY shirts for him. He now has 19 tye dye shirts and already asked me today when we are going to do more.
I have a surprise for him but I’m not going to tell him what it is until it arrives. I ordered him white cotton boxers that we can tye dye and he is going to go insane!!
Robbie and Kaylee are the only things that make my life better especially now so when I feel like one of them is being threatened or neglected, it eats away at me. I’ve already posted about what’s been going on with Kaylee but in this post, I’m going to talk about Robbie’s nurses. Well one of them.
Now, I don’t want anyone to think that I’m racist for any reason but Robbie only has 3 nurses that come to the house now. One in the morning for two days a week and 2 night nurses. Well one of his night nurses is black and she seems to think that since my sister’s bf is black that she can just have the run of the house and do what she wants.
Kim sleeps during her shift when she is supposed to stay awake all night and this past week, I found out that she hasn’t been giving robbie all of his food. She said she forgot to put the rest in his feeding bag and that it won’t happen again but I don’t know. Something tells me that this is something she is going to try to continue so that means as soon as I get here, I will be checking and I’ll know if Robbie hasn’t gotten all of his food because he will tell me he’s hungry way before he’s even due to have his food started.

He was born with severe scoliosis which caused one of his lungs to collapse and not have enough room to fully expand. It's been a journey but he is doing well! especially since his very first dr said there was no way he would make it to his first bday and he just celebrated his 17th!!

I am glad that he has so much zest for life. It is great that he has found this enjoyment with tye dying. I agree with you do keep an eye out on the feeding situation. It is important for him to keep up his energy.

90% of the time he is in a good mood and has several hobbies that he likes to do. He really likes going to the library and walking around town getting tractor trailors to beep at him lmao
