30 Day Music Challenge: Day 3 (A Song That Makes You Happy)

The subject of a song that makes me happy is a tough one because I go for songs that "understand me" rather than songs that are intended to bring happiness. Songs about isolation, for example, bring about a greater sense of contentment than songs about perfect (romantic) love or "giddy" songs. I suppose being understood makes me happy, but it doesn't yield many choices that would be straightforward to people who don't know me. What makes me happy also varies immensely depending on my mood. Not much makes me happy right now (COVID-19 restrictions and the fact that my goals this year - learning several gymnastic-type moves - require someone to be able to be touch me... I'll just leave it at that). In the end, I have to go with "Heart Of Rock And Roll" by Huey Lewis and the News. My best friends and I went to two of their concerts, and in commemoration of the event, we sung "Heart Of Rock And Roll" on karaoke at my friend's graduation party.
