Our government embark on a Social Amelioration Program of paying out 120 dollars a month for 2 months for those they validated as poorest of the poor in the informal sector. My office's task is to make the payout. I assigned 10 of my staff as tellers. We will be paying some 8,000 individuals in our town. We are all exhausted but have to work even on Saturday and Sunday as we are beating deadline.

Great idea from your government, I'm sorry you have more work to do but there are people who really need some basic help, nice of you. Also, glad to see you here active, after a few months, i came back

I have also been inactive for the past few weeks and even last month. I missed a payout last month, and with a few days before cut off i'm still short of some cents.

@florelway I am glad your government is helping, our major supermarkets are collecting food for those more in need, the volunteers bring the food to their homes.

Been working on weekends since the crisis. Today we will finish the distribution of the food packs but we are still halfway with the money payout. We are glad how our President is addressing the situation. The money from the national government reaches the farthest barangay through us.

@florelway don't ask. I cannot answer that. And not only here in our town, even in some towns where some friends reside, they haven't heard of that Amelioration whatever.

@Alexandoy it's on National television. The money is downloaded to the Local Government unit of every Municipality for payout. The barangay officials and DSWD must work together to.validate and identify the recipients in their respective barangays.

It's a great help; just wished that those who received it were the rightful beneficiaries.

Unfortunately some are not. Still glad some returned their share because they are not eligible and I admire them for waiving.

My neighbor who received bought 2 sacks of rice immediately. She said at least they have something to cook for the next months and they will only worry for their viand.
