I have a new hobby... making greeting cards, and I love it... and am quite pleased with my efforts... I don't know  about you... but, I am not very good with cutting things out, and I usually get more glue on me than the object I'm  trying to glue... you get the picture.. lol...  so when I saw a book of pre- prepared cut outs for making your own xmas cards last year, I thought I'd  give it a go....   I bought a couple of book pads  with the pre  cut shapes, I later found out they are called die cut .. it also had back ground papers, and different  shapes and embellishments  you could use, to create a layering effect... and you just picked out the pieces you wanted and put them on your card... I also bought some other embellishments   and added them to the cards to make them unique...  and I loved it... Like I said...,  I found out,  it was called die cutting... So,  I looked it up on the net, and on crafting pages  and read all about it, and found out they made small machines to use at home and thousands and thousands of different  cutting dies to make your own cards...   and very reasonably priced...  although,  like most things, there are  some very expensive machines and cutting dies out there.. but happily there are also budget friendly ones too... which is what I bought lol...  and a small selection of cutting dies to go with it... and have been experimenting and creating and having fun ever since... it is so easy to use... See post photo, that is the machine and a cutting die(the thin grey metal shape)  and a small selection of the cards I have made... when this virus and social distancing  has ended... I would like to show and hopefully  sell some of my cards to my friends.
