Noisy Trains

Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone. I'm feeling sleepy this morning. I had a nightmare last night and after only 45 minutes of sleeping, I had to get up. It was a bad nightmare and I was afraid I would dream it again if I went back to sleep.
I was just sitting on my balcony enjoying the peace and quiet after my nightmare. Everyone was inside and there was no traffic. But, there is a train track very close to our apartment. All of a sudden this train went by and it was so loud. It sounded like it was going to fall apart at any minute. Most trains are pretty quiet and I normally don't mind the sound. They can actually be peaceful at times. When trains like this come by I am always afraid it will derail.
Well, today is laundry day so that is what I will be doing once my brother gets up. That is if I don't go back to bed first. I hope everyone has a great Monday.

Our first house was near a railroad track that we wake up when there is a train passing by. My father said that they bought that lot because it is cheap.

The first thing I noticed was this beautiful photo, I really like it... Trains and railways always awaken some nostalgia in me

@dya80dya I'm glad ... even though I've never been able to dig into it, why I feel that way and why I have this feeling

I hope you actually did get some more sleep. I didn't do much today except cook three meals, clean the bathrooms and make the bed. I'm bored lol

I live (and have most my life) just two blocks from railroad tracks. Usually only hear trains at like 11pm and 2am though anymore.

It must be nerve-wracking to be disturbed every day by the noise of trains. Have a good and peaceful sleep tonight.

I live about five miles from the nearest train tracks here in our city, but on a quiet night when the wind is blowing just right, I can faintly hear the trains going by. Because it's only a faint sound, it is kind of soothing to me. When I was little, my grandmother lived right next to train tracks, and all night long you could hear very loud trains going back and forth. Back then, they didn't have any noise restrictions on blowing their train horns, and so you would hear those horns blasting all night long.
