Didn’t get my check due to a technicality.

I definitely qualify. I make under 75k, I’m a substitute teacher for a preschool and the barely pay. I am on SSI, so theoretically I would get it. The trouble is it be money goes to a different account, one that isn’t mine. I have someone who manages things for me. While the payment is for me, I can’t use it, it is up to the person who’s account the check gets routed to.

There isn’t anything. It’s legal. The money is used for me, but I can’t have it for myself.

@babytaffster So it means that you have no way to get it back? That's sad.

Despite being nearly 40, I have a conservator. As long as the check is used for me, they can legally take it and place it in their account. They are not required to give me the check, as they control my finances.
