Knife-Edge Bridge

Before we left for Zambia, I did my homework on what we should do and the most important places to visit. The Knife Edge Bridge was one of them, and frankly, I was scared to death to even propose the walk across to my hubby. My fear of heights had me fearful, however, I was lucky that on each day, when crossing the 'knife-edge bridge', the spray covered open gorge void below and I could not see to the bottom - what I don't see, I don't fear.

@Inlemay Oh. Though steel is an excellent metal, it's still scary crossing that bridge. Im glad you did!

That looks a great bridge. I'm glad you were able to walk it safely.

quite sturdy but only ONE person to pass at a time. made of steel with steel plate footing so I couldn't see below me at all only down the sides but I kept my eyes front and centre

@Inlemay Front and centre is good if you are a bit scared.

As it is impossible to look below, I would have crossed too, but what if it clears up when I have to cross back?

made of steel with steel plate footing so I couldn't see below me at all only down the sides but I kept my eyes front and centre - but the one side showed the gorge and the other was the water thundering up so no visibility

The bridge looks secure. Not a swinging bridge?
