I have been in Brasil, in Rio and Foz do Iguazu. I prefer Copacabana seaside and I invite you to go to Iguazu falls. They are simply fantastic. I fly on them by an elycopter and there you can wee always a rainbow.If you are lucky, on the falls there is a wood bridge and you can walk and go to Argentina. I remember that Iguazu falls are at the borderline between Brasil, Argentina and Paraguay. Also in Rio I went to see at Maracana stadium the last soccer match Vasco da Gama versus Fluminense (the championship winner that year was Vasco da Gama!)... very nice country and I plan to return and I hope to can visit Pantanal and return to Foz do Iguazu.

Im Brazilian, and Id say the best beaches are in Florianopolis inthesummer. Theyre less corwded, and theres a 10-1 women-men ratio.
In other words, paradise.

Yes they are different. Copacabana is more trendy , touristic and international. Ipanema much more for brazilian people. Both lovely!

i would like to go to brazil sometime.i ahve heard a lot about it and a lot about brazil's beaches.i sure would like to go there around the time of the madi gras.
whenever i think brazil i think fun.sounds corny i know but thats the feeling i got from watching discovery channel.that brazil esp rio is a fun place to be in.party party all the time around the clock!
sounds exciting,i am definitely gonna stop in rio for a vacation soon.

I would say the best beach is Copacabana.....Its a bit more crowded with more food and drink stands....

I have visited Brazil this summer, spent about 9 days down there. I would have to say going to the amazon, and taking a nice boat ride down it on one of the locals fishing boat, is a fun, and interesting expierence. Great stuff to see down there, and very friendly people.
