Missing May Lilacs

This is the time when I remember my garden in Latvia the most. All those lovely and scented lilacs start blooming all around Latvia. I had many lilacs in my garden and when I opened my front door the lilacs that grew by the fence made it seem as if I was stepping right into them. Even my cat Sid enjoyed lilac time and he would sit on the window sill upstairs and enjoy the scent to the lilacs as the breeze blew.

They have such a lovely scent. We had 2 large lilac bushes at our old place, but when our son was young there was always bees swarming around them and we pulled them out in fear of our son getting stung.

I love lilacs. It's been a while since I've had a lilac tree in the yard. None here where I live.

Fiacre wrote about his lilacs too. My mother loved hers and was very proud of it. There were very few in our town as the weather was really too hot for them.
