Succulents are not only great looking plants but they are the easiest to grow, They don't need as much attention as the other ornamental plants. We need to take care of a few details to ensure that they not only grow well but also thrive. Tips and tricks They do well in small containers as they don't have a huge root system ( at least not all ) Containers need to have holes which allow the water to seep out. Succulents require well draining soil. They need to be watered only when the soil is dry. Succulents in general need a few hours of indirect sunlight, not all succulents do well in direct sunlight. They need to be fed only in the growing months. Trying to grow them indoors will result in leggy plants. Most succulents can be grown from leaves, which however takes a long time, but you can propagate them from cuttings easily. This picture here is a bloom from my succulent called Huernia zebrina, it is also know as the doughnut flower. Have you seen this before?

@sofssu Some plants like roses and gardenia are beautiful but they need a lot of cares.

The succulent plant in the picture above looks beautiful but I am not aware of that. The succulent I am familiar with is aloe vera. We had that plant in the balcony of our flat. The flat was subsequently vacated but the plant remained there for long time without any attention.

Aloe vera is one of the succulents which is also a cacti. True, these being desert plants really need no care at all, but over watering could kill even these.

I'm planning to grow dragon fruit and aloe vera, I had both before but they were somewhat neglected, will get serious with growing them now. I had not seen a doughnut flower only a doughnut lol!

Both are amazing plants and easy to care for. Start working on your dragon fruit cactus right away and you might see some blooms and fruits before the end of the season. :) Now you've seen the doughnut flower as well
