Don't get on a boat late at night

"I think you should know that I don't want to be here." I look over to my companion as I speak, and note the way he rolls his eyes before shaking his head. No, this isn't the first time I've voiced my displeasure. I know he's tried of hearing me say it, but I'll keep doing so. He shouldn't have lied to me about where we were going. The only reason I am on this boat is because we were too far out of the city for me to call a cab. Theoretically I could have stayed in the parking lot, but I wasn't too thrilled about spending a night in a dark parking lot. Atleast the boat offered lighting, even if being on the lake in the middle of the night was eerie. "Trust me, if I had a choice, we wouldn't be here either." He'd been responding with that, and I'm not going to lie, it was a bit creepy. He never elaborated on what he meant, no matter how many times I asked him to do just that. It was another reason why I kept speaking my displeasure, hoping that he'd eventually cave in and tell me why we were stopped in the middle of the lake at midnight... Then I woke up Actually, no I didn't, but this was getting too long. The dream didn't end there, however, it was a bit foggy. I do know we were in the middle of a lake, and that we had been on it all day and into the night. He suddenly told me we had to get in the water, that it was safer there. That's all I can really remember, other than snippets of me being on this sandbar...

Thank God, there was at least a sandbar, for you to stand on! I've had dreams about water, that really scared me! Being out on a lake at midnight, nope that's not a good place to end up I'm glad you're safe at home

The dreams I have about water can be mixed. More often than not, the waters are somehow tumultuous. I can't tell you how many times I've dreamt that I was in a car in the middle of a whirlpool that was sucking us down deeper and deeper. Those are always terrifying! Another snippet I can recall from last night is this : I was standing on the sandbar, and people were coming towards me, but I didn't feel all that safe. I started feeling even more unsafe with my companion, who seemed to be edging further and further away from me.

I don't like being on a boat at night. The water is dark and foreboding! No way I'm getting into dark water.

I wouldn't either! To think of how choppy the water may be as well.

@LindaOHio I am not a strong swimmer either. I love the water, but prefer to just float.
