Watching nature from my office window

There is so much to see in our yard and I'm fortunate enough to have a standing desk at a window where I can watch nature unfold.
The hummingbirds are returning. The squirrels and rabbits and the deer are all here enjoying the sunshine. Of course, if they hear me, off they go!
With the flowers blooming and the forest creatures running about, it can be a most enjoyable day here.
What do you enjoy viewing from your favorite window?

The view from the back window from my bedroom is seeing the trees and birds and the open field.

It is always nice to have a view of nature @Deepizzaguy Even on the days we don't see a lot of creatures, we know they are here.

@PatZAnthony I know what you mean since sometimes I hear a strange noise from my bedroom windows from a strange noise coming from an animal that I cannot see who it is.

Yes, the birds are always fun to watch. The hummingbirds are my favorite, maybe because they are so small.

@PatZAnthony we don't have hummingbirds in Australia. They must be incredible to watch.

Yes, we do! Never thought about it that way. Haven't seen any monkeys but there has been an occasional bear!

It's just fun!

I did so enjoy being able to look out the window in the last house. Here I have to get up and hold a blind open. So afraid if I open completely it won't close again

@PatZAnthony it's one of the things I miss about the other house. This one also only has one bathroom where the other one had 2.
I feel so stupid as I complained about the other one all the time. I learned my lesson that things can always get worse.

@bunnybon7 Yes, things can always get worse, but now it is time for things to be better for you! I'm waiting for that and tell myself better days are ahead (I can hear my grandfather's voice saying it).

That would be a nuisance to deal with @bunnybon7
I'd probably wind up pulling it off the window and then would not be able to get it back in place!

I like to watch the hummingbirds come to the feeders (which reminds me, I need to make more hummingbird food).

The hummingbird feeder here did not have many visitors today. I must have missed the rush! Sometimes they are so tiny.

The birds are so much fun to watch. For some reason, they chase each other here and don't seem to like sharing the birdseed we have in little houses for them.

@simone10 We are noticing this here too. Some creatures think they own the block, don't they?

@PatZAnthony I can imagine. I bet they are a little comical at times Ours do a little chasing as they are very territorial. They have a certain area that is theirs and if another bird comes near, they will chase them off.

I have windows where my computer is but they have curtains over them. I have too much of a mess to open them daily we do open out living room drapes though.
I do enjoy watching sunsets when it's not crazy busy at work.

Hello @MarshaMusselman Yes, finding time to view what is outside isn't always easy. Work first, fun second. Who made that rule?

@PatZAnthony is that a rule? I never learned that one other than maybe add a child but it was an unspoken rule and we worked not always before the fun started. It depended on the day and time.

We haven't noticed any nests, but see plenty of birds this year. Of course, we have feeders, so why wouldn't there be birds @DianneN

It sounds like you can see a lot from your window.Good place to put your desk. I see the street and the green all around from my window where I sit working on the computer and watching TV.

I am glad you have a good view for when you want to do something else other than work and hopefully it helps relieve stress from this situation having a good view.

I spend a lot of time looking out my window--Mother Nature always provides a show from the skies to the trees to the birds, etc. I LOVE her!
No deer but squirrels, alligators, a crocodile, lizards and once in awhile a snake!! Oh, she once in awhile throws in a school of Manatees!!

We won't see any manatees or alligators from this window. The last time we saw manatees we were in Bonita Springs. That was so long ago.

I do admit that early morning chirping is not always appreciated @acelawrites but the birds seem to start at first light!

That is lovely. From my windows I see our parking lot, the neighbor's yards, across the major highway
