Mushy Mommy

Okay, when I was growing up, there was no mother's day. Just birthday and Christmas day. But that doesn't mean I took my own Mommy for granted. I was a helpful daughter, in more ways than one.
The other day, my daughter called me up and told me to stay put in the house because she ordered chicken lasagna for me. Wow, I said, that is a treat. Then she hinted I shouldn't feel mushy because she is far away. I know, I am not mushy.
Then yesterday, my other daughter asked me to bring her spare charger to the condo unit. Okay, I said, be there around 5 in the morning. Her duty begins at 6. Then she gives me a carrot cake for mother's day, without the mushy greeting.
This is why I am wonderfully blessed. My daughters remember me.

Wow. That's wonderful.
Yes, Mother's Day is a day of honoring but it's in the daily dealings that we truly show our care and love for mother.

Thank you very much. Happy Mother's Day, too.
My daughters bear with me, ha ha, because they have no choice, but if they do, they'd want a mother more modern, or cosmopolitan.

Age brings a lot of memories to reflect on, that's the reason for the mushiness.

Being a mother, I don't really expect anything from my daughters. I just want to see them all right and living their lives to the fullest. That is the best thanks I can ever receive.

Yes. Yes. Those two girls are tough. But they could be sweet on occasions like Mother's Day. Ha ha
Honestly, I didn't expect them to send food, the situation they are in are difficult enough.
Happy they did.
