Monthly Recap: April 2020

hello myLot, how are you guys doing today? it's that time again, my monthly recap. it was a slow month because of quarantine. 02 a month or so ago my grandma gave me some zinnia seeds, so I planted them for something to do. hopefully they bloom nicely. I don't have a green thumb so I'm keeping my fingers crossed 03 Tyler and I set up his old PS2 again and played old Pac Man games. it was so nostalgic! 04 we washed my car, it needed a bath big time 06 we baked a yellow cake with white frosting. we needed something sweet but I don't eat sweets very often so it took us a while to finish. 06 we went food shopping and took the scenic route home. we figured it would be something to do and we didn't get out of the car because we didn't want to cause any damage because everyone is shut up tight due to coronavirus. however it was a nice change of pace looking at all the beautiful houses. 07 we watched the super moon from the backyard and played Pokemon. 08 I tried to learn to drift, I'm terrible at it! but it's very fun. Tyler has a driving simulator with a wheel and gas pedals. I've never even driven a manual car so it was definitely interesting. for lunch we bought Pollo Tropical take out. 11 we tried to fix the Miata, it's a mess. 11 my grandmother sewed us a few masks. we still kept six feet apart, she sort of threw them out the car window at me. it was a little hilarious she made me a donut one, my favorite food! I really love it. 16 we played a VR game called BeatSaber, you have to slice these blocks to the beat of the song. very fun and it turns out to be a good workout. 17 we took apart a truck and started selling all the parts. 18 Tyler's grandma was admitted to the hospital, it was quite a scare. it turns out she was just dehydrated so everything is ok now. we couldn't go into the hospital so we waited as long as we could and they called us later to tell us that she was ok. 20 Tyler worked on the 3d printer and a little bit of hail fell from the sky! it's Florida so that's exciting for us 26 a friend of mine and I were texting about old shows we used to watch, we had a phone conversation and watched Sabrina the Teenage Witch "together". that's one way to hang out with friends during quarantine. 28 the weather was so nice that I went on a long walk. don't worry, I wore my mask! as I was walking I heard a child say hello, it startled me because I couldn't see where the voice was coming from. I looked around and realized the kid was up in a tree I used to love climbing trees as a kid, I'm glad he was having fun. I came back from the walk and helped Tyler work on the 3d printer some more. and that's it, pretty uneventful. how has your April been? have you gone crazy staying inside? the one good thing about quarantine is that I've read more books this month than I did all last year lol any plans for May? **picture is me in my new donut mask! it's so cute I love, it doesn't take much to make me happy.

I love you donut mask! I totally need one, since I am always eating donuts! lol My April wasn't that great. Nineteen of the days I was sick with the coronavirus. I'm trying to make up for it now in May. I've been outside on one the of adventure or another every day since May 1st. And don't worry, I've worn my mask as well! Hope you have a great May Brenna. It was cool that you got to see hail. Hopefully it didn't damage anything like the houses and cars.

thanks! I'm really grateful my grandma made it, it's been saving me when I go food shopping. yes! get out there and have those adventures! I don't blame you for wanting to do everything you can after your coronavirus ordeal. I'm very glad you've recovered. thankfully the hail didn't do anything damage to our cars or houses, I don't know about anyone else.

@isweartokira One time back when I was in school at the University of Florida, we had a hail storm so bad that it piled up on the ground about a foot high, and looked like the entire campus was covered in a layer of snow. And this happened in the middle of the summer! They had to bring out road graders, front end loaders and other heavy equipment to remove all that hail from the roads, as it was so thick nobody could drive! It was the weirdest thing I have ever seen in my life!

@isweartokira Well at least now it's reopening time, so a bit of relaxed cheeriness is surfacing. How about your hometown?

What's drift? I've driven a Manuel car but I'm not familiar with that term that way. When you planted your flowers last month did you do pots in the house or are you in a warm area in the states? Breather sounds like a great workout and fun too but one needs a vr machine which we don't have. Fudge. I've been working still but wearing a mask and behind s plastic shield.

drifting is oversteering the car intentionally, it makes the back end slide out. it's sort of like hydroplaning on purpose I'm in Florida so they are planted outside :) I don't know what Breather is, sorry. hey at least you still have your job! I only just got hired back because everything is slowly opening back up.

Haha - the kid had to let you know he was in the tree. Sounds like you've been pleasantly occupied at least.

@isweartokira Not really. I have been staying home if I do not have to go out and trying to do things at home and work here. I only go out when I have to and really do not like it during this crisis.

I keep forgetting to plant the seeds I have. I hope you can get the Miata fixed. Your mask is cute. That was nice of her to make it for you! Unless I’m in public near other people I don’t wear a mask.

hmm now i have inspiration for my next post: Montly Recap: April 2020 i write that in some kind of a journal. anyways, at first i didn't want to read this, because it was too long, but i did. i got something to say about some days: 7th i feel sad for missing out that super moon. do you have any photos? 11th is this the mask your grandma sewed? 26th few nights ago i just felt like watching Bratz, so i completely understand you 28th that reminded me of my brother, when he was like 4 years old he fell of the tree and his whole face was scratched + we were in the mountains, without a car and we had to walk through the mountains for 2 hours until we came back home. it healed after some time and he was alright thank you for sharing this post. have a nice day!
